How big is LumiHugs?

LumiHugs measures 14 inches when seated and 20 inches when fully extended. It weighs around 4.5 lbs, with the weight evenly distributed for a balanced and comforting feel. The sound and light module is safely enclosed inside the plush body.

Is LumiHugs safe for children?

Absolutely. LumiHugs is carefully crafted to meet the highest safety standards. It complies with EN71 and ASTM F963 regulations for toy safety, ensuring it’s perfect for your little one. The light and sound module meets CE, FCC, and RoHS standards.

How long does the night light stay on?

LumiHugs features three light modes and soothing sound options. The light and sound can both be set with timers (1 h / 2 h / 3h) for your child’s bedtime routine.

Does the light require batteries?

No batteries needed! LumiHugs includes a 1200 mAh rechargeable lithium battery, powering both the light and sound for up to 8–10 hours.

Simply plug the USB-C cable (included) into any standard charger. A small indicator light shows when it’s charging and turns off when fully charged.
Charging time: about 4.5 hours.

Can LumiHugs play sounds or music?

Yes! LumiHugs includes a built-in speaker with gentle white noises and lullabies. You can choose from multiple soothing sounds to help your child relax and fall asleep naturally.

Can I connect my phone to LumiHugs?

Yes. LumiHugs supports Bluetooth pairing so you can play your child’s favorite lullabies or bedtime stories directly from your phone.

Bluetooth range: up to 10 m / 33 ft.

How does the remote control work?

LumiHugs includes an intuitive remote that lets you control the light, volume, and timers without disturbing your child. You can start or stop the sounds, adjust brightness, or set a timer up to 3 hours.

What types of sounds are included?

LumiHugs comes with pre-recorded white noises (rain, heartbeat, shushing) and soft lullabies designed to calm children before bedtime. 20 tracks in total.

Can I machine wash LumiHugs?

To preserve its exceptional softness and comforting feel, LumiHugs is not machine washable.
We recommend gently cleaning the surface with a soft, damp cloth whenever needed.

Hi, I’m Guillermo, the creator of LumiHugs—and more importantly, a dad.

When my daughter went through her “afraid of the dark” phase, I knew I wanted to help. As a product designer, I’ve spent years building everything from baby cribs to cars—but this project is different.

I didn’t just want to create another toy. I wanted to create something that brings comfort, calm, and confidence to little ones when they need it most—bedtime.

That’s how LumiHugs was born:
A weighted plush with a soft glow that makes kids feel safe, and helps parents finally get the rest they deserve.
